Frontier Airlines, joined by Cebu Pacific, Wizz Air, Volaris, and JetSMART, has announced a coordinated plan to install SpaceX Starlink across their combined fleets, targeting more than 1,000 aircraft. This move standardizes high-speed connectivity within the Indigo Partners portfolio, marking Starlink’s first major penetration into the low-cost carrier segment where cost previously limited satellite Wi-Fi adoption. Cebu Pacific will become the first low-cost carrier in Southeast Asia to offer the service, with rollout expected to begin in 2027. While the group aims for fleet-wide upgrades, specific installation timelines for Frontier, Wizz Air, Volaris, and JetSMART remain undetailed, and passenger pricing models are unconfirmed despite SpaceX’s recent aviation price increase to $20,000 monthly for Aviation Global Unlimited.
