FlyUs takes over Air Canada Cargo sales in Puerto Rico

FlyUs Aviation Group has opened an office in Puerto Rico and been appointed Air Canada Cargo’s general sales and service agent for the market. The mandate covers cargo capacity on three weekly freighter flights between Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan and Air Canada’s Toronto Pearson hub, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical exports.

FlyUs will handle local cargo sales and representation, supporting temperature-sensitive shipments including pharmaceuticals, perishables and flowers. Puerto Rico is a major US bioscience manufacturing and export centre, creating demand for reliable, temperature-controlled airfreight capacity.

The new operation extends FlyUs’s existing relationship with Air Canada. The GSSA already represents the airline in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ecuador and several Central American markets. Air Canada’s confidence in FlyUs’s performance in those markets supported the expansion into Puerto Rico.

FlyUs represents 24 airlines across 28 locations and plans further office openings through the remainder of 2026 and into 2027. The company’s Puerto Rico presence expands its regional footprint while giving Air Canada Cargo local commercial support for San Juan–Toronto freighter capacity.
