FlightSafety gains FAA approval for Gulfstream G600/G700 simulator in Long Beach

FlightSafety International has received FAA approval for a Gulfstream G600/G700 Level D full-flight simulator at its Long Beach Learning Center in California. The device is the first convertible G600/G700 simulator cleared for pilot training in the United States and is intended to expand domestic training capacity for Gulfstream’s large-cabin fleet.

The simulator supports training for pilots type-rated on the GVII and GVIII families and is part of FlightSafety’s configurable simulator platform. Built by the company in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, it includes the VITAL 1150 image generator, a 42-inch electric motion base and support for G600 steep approach operations.

FlightSafety also operates another G600/G700 device in Singapore, which received FAA G600 certification in August 2026. The Long Beach installation adds another training option for operators as demand grows for recurrent and type-rating instruction on Gulfstream’s latest business jets.
