Embraer has delivered the first C-390 Millennium to the Uzbekistan Air Force at its facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil. The handover took place during a ceremony attended by Major General Akhmad Jamolovich Burkhonov, commander of the air force, and Olimkhon Bakiyevich Rustamov, representing Uzbekistan through the state institution O‘ztextreyd.
Uzbekistan becomes the first C-390 operator in Central Asia with the delivery. The aircraft forms part of a contract signed at the end of 2024 that also covers training, technical and logistics support, and spare parts.
The C-390 is the latest addition to Embraer’s military transport programme, which has been attracting overseas customers as air forces look to modernise medium-lift fleets. No official details were provided on the total number of aircraft in the Uzbek order beyond the first delivery, or on the timing of the next unit.
