EirTrade Aviation Maintenance has secured new operational authorisations from the 2-REG register in Guernsey, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands and the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority for its maintenance facility at Ireland West Airport Knock. The approvals allow the business to support aircraft on those registers for operations, transitions, parking and storage, expanding the range of customers it can handle from the Irish base.
The new permissions build on the company’s 2025 expansion of EASA Part-145 capabilities, which added support for the Airbus A320neo with PW1100 engines and the Airbus A330. EirTrade linked the latest step to demand from airlines and lessors operating aircraft on the Guernsey, Cayman Islands and Bermuda registries.
To secure the authorisations, the company completed manual supplements, documentation updates, staff training, certifying-personnel authorisation, desktop audits and on-site audits. The additional registry approvals strengthen Knock’s role as a maintenance and storage point for internationally registered aircraft.
