Dassault Falcon 10X completes maiden flight and starts test campaign

Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 10X has completed its maiden flight, moving the ultra-long-range business jet into flight testing. The first sortie lasted 2 hours 30 minutes from Bordeaux-Mérignac, with the aircraft reaching 40,000 feet and Mach 0.82 on Pearl 10X engines.

The program now shifts from rollout to certification work, with two additional test aircraft to follow, including one equipped with a full interior for systems and cabin reliability checks. Dassault is still targeting type certification and entry into service in 2027.

For the sector, the flight turns a delayed flagship into a live development program.
