C&L Aerospace tapped for Challenger 600-series flutter damper repairs

C&L Aviation Group’s C&L Aerospace in Bangor, Maine has been selected by Héroux-Devtek as the factory-authorised repair station for flutter dampers on Bombardier CRJ and Challenger 604, 605 and 650 aircraft. The work is already under way at the component facility, which will handle OEM-specified repair and testing using original parts, manuals and engineering support, while returning units with FAA Form 8130-3 and EASA dual release documentation.

The Bangor operation is FAA, EASA, UK CAA and TCCA approved, giving operators a single repair source for a component that affects aircraft availability. C&L’s OEM parts inventory and exchange pool are intended to support shorter turn times and reduce AOG exposure for CRJ and Challenger operators.

The authorisation appears to position C&L as the only approved provider for this flutter damper work under the programme, covering the maintenance needs of regional jet and business jet fleets that remain in active service. The arrangement also extends Héroux-Devtek’s support into a dedicated third-party repair channel at a time when operators continue to prioritise component turnaround and fleet uptime.
