Boeing posted second-quarter revenue of $24.6 billion and returned to positive free cash flow, a sharper signal of recovery than its still-weak earnings line. The company generated $1.4 billion in operating cash flow and $0.6 billion in free cash flow, helped by 171 commercial deliveries, higher defense and services volume, and favourable working capital timing, while backlog reached a record $715 billion. The quarter also carried a $280 million VC-25B charge, leaving Boeing with a GAAP loss of $0.67 a share and core loss of $0.76. Management kept full-year free cash flow guidance at $1 billion to $3 billion.
