Binter adds 4,010 seats for Canary Islands holiday weekend

Binter increased capacity on its inter-island network in the Canary Islands for the All Saints long weekend, scheduling 942 flights and 69,562 seats from 30 October to 2 November. The temporary schedule added 4,010 seats on the three peak travel days—Friday, Saturday and Monday—compared with the airline’s regular programme. The additional capacity was concentrated on the main departure and return days around the 1 November public holiday.

The schedule comprised 274 flights and 20,160 seats on Friday, 232 flights and 17,500 seats on Saturday, 186 flights and 13,466 seats on Sunday, and 250 flights and 18,436 seats on Monday. The public holiday fell on Sunday, with observance moving to Monday in relevant territories.

The largest route-level capacity increases were 576 seats between Gran Canaria and La Palma, and 566 between Lanzarote and Tenerife North. Gran Canaria–El Hierro and Gran Canaria–Tenerife South each gained 292 seats. Tenerife North–El Hierro received 284 additional seats, while Fuerteventura–Tenerife North gained 142.

The adjustment was intended to accommodate higher demand for travel between the islands over the holiday period and support mobility for residents and visitors. It applies only to the dates specified; no permanent frequency changes were reported. The route-level figures refer to seats, with no breakdown of the additional flights by route.
