American Airlines among Airbus July delivery customers as group books 204 orders

Airbus delivered 67 commercial aircraft to 39 customers in July 2026 and booked 204 gross orders, keeping its year-to-date programme in positive territory after a subdued month for deliveries. The latest update included American Airlines among the delivery customers, while the biggest order came from SMBC Aviation Capital for 100 A320neo-family jets.

The July intake came after a quieter period following the Farnborough air show, but still showed strong demand across the single-aisle portfolio. Airbus remained on course toward its full-year delivery target, although it would need to sustain a much faster monthly pace through the rest of 2026 to reach it.

Reuters reported that the manufacturer had delivered 418 aircraft by the end of July and that its adjusted order tally had risen further once cancellations were taken into account. The month’s order book also reflected business outside Farnborough-related deals, underscoring continued interest from airlines and lessors even as production and handover rates stayed more constrained than order flow.
