Airbus Spain’s more than 14,000 employees are voting on the company’s latest labour and social proposal today and on Thursday after the National Court cleared the referendum to go ahead. The consultation covers the group’s entire workforce in Spain and will determine whether the dispute, which has fuelled weeks of strike action, moves towards settlement or returns to the previous framework.
The vote was unlocked after the court rejected precautionary measures that had temporarily suspended the process. Airbus presented its final offer on 4 September with mediation from the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, framing it as the last attempt to resolve the conflict. The package reported in local coverage includes recovery of 7.95% of lost purchasing power over four years, annual pay rises linked to the CPI, a 40% telework model and a one-off 2,000-euro payment.
Voting is split between online participation on both days and in-person ballots at the plants on Thursday. The result will decide whether the current negotiations end with an agreement or whether the labour standoff continues without further talks.
