Air Tanzania selects Sabre for core passenger and NDC systems

Air Tanzania has chosen Sabre to supply its next-generation airline IT platform, moving core passenger operations to SabreSonic PSS and adopting Sabre Mosaic NDC IT. The deal gives Tanzania’s national carrier a new technology base for retailing, distribution and customer service as it prepares for a faster migration away from fragmented systems in Dar es Salaam.

Sabre’s platform will support Air Tanzania’s commercial expansion by strengthening interline and codeshare capabilities and enabling more dynamic offer creation. The airline is also set to use the system to improve scalability across its operations as it pursues growth in domestic, regional and international markets.

The agreement covers the transition of passenger service functions and NDC retailing into a single environment, with implementation planned on an accelerated timeline. Sabre positioned the carrier as one of Africa’s fastest-growing airlines and linked the project to future work on revenue optimisation and customer experience.
