Air Astana has extended the suspension of its flights from Almaty and Astana to Dubai through 30 September 2026, keeping the routes grounded amid continuing instability in the Persian Gulf region. The latest move also pushes back the recovery of two of the carrier’s key Kazakhstan–Dubai services, with October schedules now adjusted to reflect reduced frequencies.
Passengers booked on the affected routes can rebook free of charge in the same booking class for travel through 20 November, request a full refund, or transfer to other Air Astana international destinations, subject to any fare difference. The airline had already halted the Dubai services earlier in the summer, and the prolonged disruption leaves travellers facing another month of limited options on a route that links Kazakhstan’s two main hubs with one of the Gulf’s major business and leisure destinations.
The extension comes as carriers across the region continue to manage schedule changes tied to security and airspace concerns in the Middle East. Air Astana’s decision adds to a series of rolling adjustments on Gulf services as airlines keep capacity flexible while monitoring conditions.
