AeronautX to open Amsterdam business-jet training centre with VistaJet as launch customer

AeronautX will open a business-jet pilot training centre near Amsterdam Schiphol in the first quarter of 2027, with VistaJet as its strategic partner and initial customer. The Austrian provider, part of AX Aero Group, will begin training crews for Bombardier Challenger 300- and 600-series aircraft at a facility on Bromostraat 37, while making its simulators and courses available to other operators.

Training for the Challenger 300 series is scheduled to start in March 2027, followed by the Challenger 600 series in July. The centre will provide initial type ratings, including practical flight training, recurrent training, Type Rating Instructor qualifications and operator-specific programmes.

Planned infrastructure includes Level D full-flight simulators, cockpit-procedures and aircraft-systems training devices, and an artificial-intelligence-supported debriefing platform. AeronautX will also offer dry-lease simulator bookings, allowing operators to use their own instructors. The initial booking format will comprise four-hour simulator blocks, followed by additional two-hour sessions; external instructors will require AeronautX training and approval.

VistaJet will use the centre for Challenger pilot training, while AeronautX intends to serve other business-aviation operators without requiring them to enter long-term agreements. The company joined Zurich-based AX Aero Group in April 2026, as part of a portfolio of six businesses spanning pilot training, simulation, aircraft operations and technology.
