AEG and Archer Aviation have agreed an exclusive multi-year partnership to develop downtown Los Angeles’ first vertiport at L.A. LIVE, with Archer named the venue’s exclusive air taxi partner. The project is intended to support Archer’s planned Los Angeles network ahead of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, while a public display of the Midnight aircraft is scheduled at L.A. LIVE for 24-25 August.
The site is planned for AEG’s L.A. LIVE entertainment district in downtown Los Angeles, next to Crypto.com Arena, and follows initial feasibility work completed by the partners. AEG Global Partnerships brokered the agreement. Archer has positioned Los Angeles as one of the core markets for its electric air taxi operations, with proposed 10-20 minute urban trips linking major destinations across the city.
The company’s previously identified network points include SoFi Stadium, USC, Hollywood Burbank and Hawthorne Airport. The L.A. LIVE project is also tied to a wider infrastructure plan that uses electric aviation chargers from BETA Technologies through the ACES consortium, with the next phase focused on operational design and guest experience. No completion date for the vertiport has been disclosed.
