The Air Charter Association hosted 15 students at London Biggin Hill for its third annual intern training week before the cohort moved on to work placements. The programme introduced participants to business aviation through airport tours and career briefings, as ACA continued a structured pathway aimed at bringing new entrants into the sector.
The week focused on giving students an early view of day-to-day operations at Biggin Hill and of the range of roles available across business aviation. By combining site visits with industry exposure, the association is building a pipeline that connects education with practical experience ahead of placements. The initiative has now run for three consecutive years, underlining ACA’s commitment to repeat engagement rather than a one-off outreach effort.
The timing is notable for a sector that has been working to widen awareness of aviation careers among younger candidates. Early-career programmes such as this are increasingly used by industry groups to improve recruitment visibility and to help students understand how charter, airport and support functions fit together.
