SyberJet Aircraft has secured letters of intent for more than 50 SJ36 light jets following the aircraft’s public unveiling at Henderson Executive Airport near Las Vegas. The prospective customers include charter operators, corporate flight departments and individual owners, with several reserving multiple aircraft. The commitments came as SyberJet opened reservations for the single-pilot twinjet ahead of NBAA-BACE 2026.
The full-scale SJ36 mock-up was presented at the manufacturer’s SyberJet World event on 19 October. It features working SyberVision avionics panels and represents the company’s planned successor to the FAA-certified SJ30-2. The stretched design is intended to accommodate one pilot and eight passengers.
SyberJet projects a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.88, a range of 3,000 nautical miles and a service ceiling of 49,000 feet. The programme is aimed at combining higher speed and longer range with single-pilot operation in the light-jet segment.
The reported commitments are non-binding letters of intent rather than firm orders. SyberJet has not identified the customers, disclosed deposits or contract values, or detailed the number of aircraft reserved by each buyer. The SJ36 remains in development, with FAA certification and first customer deliveries targeted for 2032.
