Stuttgart Airport Extends CEO Ulrich Heppe’s Contract

Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH will retain Ulrich Heppe as spokesperson of its executive board for a further five years after the airport’s supervisory board approved his contract extension on 20 October. Heppe, who also serves as managing director for aviation at Stuttgart Airport in Baden-Württemberg, will continue overseeing flight operations alongside IT, finance, procurement and communications.

Heppe has led the aviation division since March 2022 and became spokesperson of the two-person executive board in February 2023. Carsten Poralla is the airport’s other managing director.

The 55-year-old previously held management positions in Germany’s financial and airport sectors, as well as internationally. The extension preserves the existing management structure and Heppe’s combined responsibility for aviation and key corporate functions. The airport did not specify the exact expiry date of the renewed mandate or whether other contractual conditions had changed.
