El Al will begin a phased overhaul of passenger services in November, introducing redesigned menus, new bedding and upgraded digital features across economy, premium economy and business class. The Israeli carrier also plans to install SpaceX Starlink connectivity from 2027, with complimentary high-speed internet on equipped aircraft, subject to terms of use and availability by aircraft, route and cabin.
The airline is partnering with Israeli textile brand TAKEANAP to replace blankets and pillows throughout its cabins. Business-class passengers will receive additional sleep products, including cooling memory-foam pillows, while selected long-haul services will offer further bedding amenities. Premium-cabin passengers will receive new amenity kits developed with Jo Malone London, including skincare and fragrance products.
Onboard catering will be revised, with new menus and serving equipment in premium cabins and additional economy choices on selected short-haul European flights. The entertainment system will include a dedicated category for religious passengers, personalized recommendations and an option to resume programmes from where viewing stopped on a previous flight. El Al is also adding digital services through its mobile application and an AI-based customer-service assistant.
The Starlink programme is separate from the November service changes. Installation is scheduled to begin in 2027, and the free internet service will not initially be available across the entire fleet or on every flight.
