ArincDirect Opens API for Enterprise Flight-Planning Connections

Collins Aerospace is opening an application programming interface (API) for ArincDirect flight-planning information, allowing enterprise customers to connect their own systems directly to the service. The move is aimed at flight departments and other flight-operations organisations seeking more efficient access to planning data through dispatch, scheduling and operational software rather than solely through the standard user-facing platform.

The API will enable system-to-system access to ArincDirect information, potentially reducing manual data transfers and duplicated entry across operational workflows. Corporate flight departments and aviation software providers may be able to incorporate the service into existing tools while maintaining more consistent flight-planning data across their organisations.

ArincDirect provides flight-planning and flight-operations services for business aviation operators, including route analysis and related operational information. Collins Aerospace’s existing offering also includes integrations with other systems and services, but details of the new API’s endpoints, supported data fields, authentication requirements, customer eligibility and service terms have not been disclosed. No launch customers or additional enterprise integrations have been identified.
