Winair will operate at least three weekly flights between Sint Maarten and Montserrat through 30 September 2029 under a new three-year agreement with the Government of Montserrat. The carrier will use Twin Otter aircraft on the route, providing a longer-term operating framework for the island’s connection with the regional hub at Princess Juliana International Airport.
The agreement includes annual reviews covering operational and administrative arrangements. It replaces the shorter-term contracts under which Winair resumed service to Montserrat in 2025, initially with two weekly flights before increasing the schedule to three.
The service links Sint Maarten with John A. Osborne Airport and supports travel for Montserrat residents, visitors, businesses and government officials. Flight schedules and booking availability will be published through Winair’s sales channels.
The agreement forms part of Montserrat’s three-year Access Strategy, which identifies air transport to Sint Maarten as a key element of the island’s regional connectivity. The available information confirms a long-term route agreement but does not establish that Montserrat will become a formal Winair operating base.
