Mahan Air will double frequencies on its Tehran–Hanoi and Tehran–Ho Chi Minh City routes for the Northern winter 2026/27 timetable, moving both services from biweekly to weekly operation. The Iranian carrier will use Airbus A340-300 aircraft on the Vietnam routes, while its Southeast Asian schedule also includes an additional weekly Bangkok flight planned for December 2026.
The Tehran Imam Khomeini–Hanoi service will become weekly from 27 October, while flights to Ho Chi Minh City will increase to once a week from 25 October. The Bangkok schedule is planned to rise by one weekly flight in December; October service remains at nine flights, unchanged from the same month a year earlier. The precise December operating date and day have not been published.
The changes form part of a wider expansion across Mahan Air’s Asian network despite continuing US sanctions. Schedule data cited in recent reporting shows 78 planned China flights in October, almost double the level recorded a year earlier, alongside six Vietnam flights. Vietnam was not included in the carrier’s schedule during October 2025. Mahan Air is also scheduled to retain Airbus A340-600 aircraft on the Tehran–Bangkok route.
