Finnair has raised its full-year 2026 revenue and comparable operating-profit guidance after air-travel demand exceeded expectations. The Finnish carrier now forecasts revenue of €3.5 billion to €3.6 billion and comparable operating profit of €175 million to €220 million, while preliminary third-quarter figures show revenue of approximately €953 million and operating profit of about €84 million.
The updated revenue outlook compares with a previous range of €3.4 billion to €3.5 billion. The comparable operating-profit forecast has increased from €120 million to €190 million, published with Finnair’s half-year report in July. The airline attributed the improvement to stronger demand, successful use of market opportunities and progress in implementing its strategy.
Preliminary third-quarter revenue is expected to have risen from €834.9 million a year earlier, while comparable operating profit increased from €50.7 million. The figures are unaudited and will be confirmed or amended when Finnair publishes its January–September interim report on 27 October 2026.
Higher fuel costs have been partly passed on to ticket prices. Finnair continues to face uncertainty over fuel prices and its ability to increase fuel hedging for 2027.
