Selma Blair arrested after alleged disturbance on Delta flight

Selma Blair was taken into custody after an alleged physical altercation aboard Delta Air Lines Flight 938 from Los Angeles International Airport to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport on 11 October. Two flight attendants reported injuries, with one taken to hospital, while Blair was also transported for medical evaluation. Law enforcement met the aircraft at JFK, but Delta reported no operational impact because the flight arrived ahead of schedule.

Blair was arraigned in Queens on two counts of second-degree assault and pleaded not guilty. Bail was set at $20,000 cash or a $60,000 bond. The FBI and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the alleged in-flight conduct, while separate criminal allegations concern incidents involving a Port Authority police officer and a nurse after landing.

Reports citing dispatch audio and law-enforcement information allege that Blair struck or bit crew members and attempted to open an aircraft door, although the precise sequence remains under investigation. Blair’s representative said a medical emergency had led to the alleged conduct and that she was stable after treatment. Delta maintains a zero-tolerance policy for unruly or unlawful behaviour and prioritises passenger and crew safety.
