Pilot-Astronauts Isaacman and Precourt to Headline NBAA-BACE 2026 Luncheon

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman and former Space Shuttle Commander Charlie Precourt will headline an invite-only National Business Aviation Association Newsmakers Luncheon at NBAA-BACE 2026 in Las Vegas. The fireside chat, scheduled for noon on 19 October, will examine the future of aviation and aerospace, including the role of business aviation, ahead of the convention’s main exhibition from 20–22 October.

Isaacman brings more than 8,000 flight hours, qualifications on multiple military jets and experience in more than 100 airshows to the discussion. He is also a civilian astronaut and philanthropist.

Precourt, an NBAA board member, is a former US Air Force test pilot and four-time space-shuttle astronaut. He has logged more than 11,000 hours in over 90 aircraft types and holds type ratings for several Citation and exhibition-warbird jets.

His NASA management experience includes serving as deputy programme manager for the International Space Station, chief of the Astronaut Corps and director of NASA operations at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Russia. The luncheon will bring current NASA leadership and former shuttle command experience to a business-aviation audience, with no aircraft, partnership or other commercial announcement attached to the programme.
