Airbus delivered 72 aircraft in September, lifting its total for the first nine months of the year to 547 and leaving 323 more jets to deliver to reach its target of around 870 for 2026. The Paris-based planemaker’s latest monthly figures show September deliveries were broadly unchanged from a year earlier, while the company still faces a heavy fourth quarter to meet its goal.
The commercial aircraft division is working through supply-chain and industrial delays that have affected delivery timing, including issues linked to A321neo parts and A330 quality checks. Even so, Airbus Commercial chief executive Lars Wagner has been confident the group can still reach its full-year objective. The September tally, now confirmed in the company’s monthly bulletin, replaces earlier market estimates and provisional checks that had pointed to a similar result.
Airbus delivered 73 aircraft in September 2025, so the latest figure keeps this year broadly in line with last year’s pace. The company will need record output in the final quarter to close the gap, making the monthly delivery run rate a key indicator of whether production and handover schedules remain on track.
