Delta, LATAM report 31% capacity growth after four years of joint venture

Delta Air Lines and LATAM Airlines have lifted combined capacity by 31% in 2026 versus 2023 across their joint venture connecting North and South America. The carriers marked four years of cooperation with 83,000 flights, 20.8 million seats and 17.4 million customers carried between October 2022 and July 2026.

The partnership now spans 28 joint routes linking the United States and Canada with Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. Delta has added nine routes since the agreement began, while the network has expanded unevenly across markets, with stronger growth in some countries than others.

Combined capacity in 2026 is up nearly 33% in Brazil versus 2023, 64% in Ecuador and 25% in Peru. Colombia and Chile are each up about 10%. Argentina, which joined the joint venture in 2025, recorded nearly 47% growth in combined capacity in 2026 versus 2025.

The figures cover the wider joint network rather than a full-year traffic tally for 2026. The passenger total also reflects cumulative traffic over the period from October 2022 to July 2026, rather than four complete calendar years.
