FlightPath3D’s Accessibility Map was recognised as a finalist in the Digital Innovation category at the second annual Travel For Every Body Awards, held on 1 October at the voco hotel in central Manchester. The inflight moving map, designed for passengers with visual, motor and cognitive impairments, remains a focal point of the company’s accessibility strategy for airline cabins.
The product is positioned as the airline industry’s first inflight map created specifically for passengers who need more accessible interfaces, with a simplified display intended to help travellers better follow flight progress and understand their journey location. FlightPath3D’s latest update frames that work as part of a wider effort to make moving-map information more usable across onboard digital systems.
FlightPath3D did not take the top award, but the shortlist placed its Accessibility Map alongside other digital accessibility solutions. The recognition follows earlier industry attention for the product and underlines continuing demand from airlines for cabin technology that can serve a broader range of passengers without changing the core inflight entertainment experience.
