LATAM advances E195-E2 rollout with new Brazil routes from December

LATAM Airlines Brasil is moving ahead with the Embraer E195-E2 deployment that will expand its domestic network and open new routes from São Paulo/Guarulhos, starting with Cabo Frio on 3 December 2026. Guarulhos–Macaé is set to follow in February 2027, as the airline begins introducing the 136-seat jet on thinner Brazilian markets and services that do not support larger aircraft.

The first phase of the rollout covers 42 routes between November 2026 and March 2027 and adds four new bases: Cabo Frio, Ji-Paraná, Macaé and Rondonópolis. LATAM expects the aircraft to lift its Brazilian network from 63 airports to a record 67, with the possibility of up to 18 additional domestic destinations in a second phase during 2027.

The E195-E2 is configured in a 2-2 layout with Premium Economy, USB-C at every seat and LATAM Play, while free Wi‑Fi is available for LATAM Pass members. The carrier has also committed more than US$25 million to multiorbit satellite Wi‑Fi across more than 60 Airbus and Embraer aircraft, including the E195-E2, as part of a broader cabin and connectivity upgrade programme.

Deliveries of the first E195-E2s began in the second half of 2026, positioning the type to support both new point-to-point domestic links and higher-frequency flying on existing routes. The aircraft is intended to give LATAM more flexibility in Brazil, where demand is uneven across regional markets and secondary cities.
