PLD Space has added €108 million to its Series C financing, lifting the round to €288 million as it advances work on the Miura 5 small launcher. The Spanish space company said the fresh capital will support industrialisation of the rocket, expand production and testing capacity, build launch infrastructure and prepare the business for commercial operations ahead of a planned first flight before the end of 2026.
Mitsubishi Electric led the new tranche again, with COFIDES also taking part alongside new backers Endeavor Catalyst and SOPEF, the Spain-Oman private equity fund managed by MCH Private Equity. The latest extension comes after PLD Space closed a €180 million Series C in March, taking cumulative funding to €488 million.
The deal follows an ESA contract for Miura 5 and strengthens financing for one of Europe’s most closely watched small-launch developers as it moves from development towards production and launch readiness. The timetable for the inaugural flight remains subject to change, but PLD Space continues to target a launch late in 2026.
