Titan Airways has taken over Airbus’s employee shuttle between Hamburg-Finkenwerder and Toulouse, replacing Volotea on the route. The service links Airbus sites in Germany and France and is operated with multiple daily rotations for staff travel. Airbus has confirmed that Titan now runs the charter, which had been previously flown by Volotea since 2019.
The shuttle is a standing part of Airbus’s internal transport network and is retendered periodically. Airbus outsources the flights because it does not hold its own passenger airline AOC. Titan had already covered the Airbus shuttle temporarily during the Germania collapse in 2019, giving the operator a degree of continuity on the route. The new arrangement is understood to be intended as a longer-term cooperation.
