SAS drops planned Copenhagen–Dubai comeback from winter schedule

SAS has removed its planned Copenhagen–Dubai Al Maktoum service from the winter 2026/27 timetable, cancelling a return to the route that had been due to start on 25 October. The daily operation was to use an Airbus A320neo, with late-night departures from Copenhagen, next-morning arrivals in Dubai and midday returns.

The change ends SAS’s intended comeback to Dubai, a destination it last served in 2011. The route had formed part of the airline’s wider winter long-haul expansion plan unveiled earlier this year, alongside new Thailand services. Booking for the Dubai flights had already been closed in early August, indicating the withdrawal was prepared well before the latest schedule update.

The move also fits a broader pattern among Scandinavian carriers, several of which have pared back Dubai flying for the winter season. The removal was visible in schedule updates at the end of August, with no separate public statement from SAS identified in the available material.
