Several people were injured on the apron at Antalya Airport in Turkey after a passenger transfer bus collided with another ground-service vehicle. The incident involved airside traffic near the terminal, with reports linking the bus to passengers arriving on a Turkish Airlines flight from Moscow. Later information indicated that five Russian nationals were hurt, including a child born in 2023.
Initial reports left the number and severity of injuries unclear, but the later account from the Russian consulate pointed to bruising rather than serious trauma, with all of the injured taken to hospital. Some passengers on the bus were thrown against one another during the impact, while the drivers appear to have borne the main injuries. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene and the collision raised immediate questions over apron movement and ground-handling safety at one of Turkey’s busiest resort airports.
