GOL will take over Avianca’s commercial representation in Brazil, with GOL’s sales team handling Avianca’s offers, connections and products in the Brazilian B2B market. The move extends the cross-brand coordination inside Abra Group and gives Avianca a dedicated distribution channel in Latin America’s largest air travel market.
The change was presented to travel agencies and consolidators and follows joint training between the two carriers’ teams. It mirrors Avianca’s existing commercial role for GOL in other markets across the region, reflecting a reciprocal structure within the group. Abra’s commercial leadership framed the shift as part of a wider effort to align the airlines more closely, while the expanded codeshare between Avianca and GOL continues to underpin network connectivity.
The arrangement is commercially focused rather than operational, and it centres on sales, retailing and agency relationships in Brazil. For the local trade, it means GOL now manages Avianca’s Brazilian market presence while the group moves further towards a more integrated regional distribution model.
