Finnair will suspend flights between Helsinki and Dubai for the winter 2026/27 schedule, with services cancelled from 25 October 2026 through 27 March 2027. The carrier is linking the route pause to the unstable security situation in the Middle East and the absence of any clear improvement, affecting one of its long-haul leisure links from its Helsinki hub.
The suspension is temporary rather than a permanent withdrawal from Dubai. Finnair regularly reviews security conditions across its network and adjusts routes and operations when required. Passengers booked on the affected flights are being contacted directly and will be offered further information on their travel options.
The move follows earlier route adjustments tied to regional security concerns, underscoring how geopolitical volatility continues to affect airline scheduling in the Gulf market. Finnair’s winter programme will therefore exclude Dubai for the full season, removing direct Helsinki-Dubai capacity during a period when the route would typically support leisure demand from northern Europe.
