Duncan Aviation has secured Honeywell Aerospace heavy maintenance authorisation for the RE100 APU series at its Lincoln, Nebraska maintenance, repair and overhaul facility, extending its support for the RE100LJ, RE100XL and RE100CS models. The approval allows the business aviation MRO provider to carry out extensive in-house overhauls and more complex repairs, with full overhaul capability due to begin in early 2027.
The Lincoln work will be integrated into Duncan Aviation’s Honeywell Aerospace engine overhaul shop, giving the company a deeper maintenance offering for operators of aircraft fitted with RE100 units. Shawn Schmitz, the company’s engine programme manager, is overseeing the effort.
Duncan Aviation already holds line and routine maintenance authorisations for these APUs at its Battle Creek, Michigan, and Provo, Utah facilities. The addition of heavy maintenance work in Lincoln broadens the company’s Honeywell support network from lower-level servicing into a more comprehensive APU maintenance capability.
