Barnes Aerospace has completed the acquisition of Jet AirWerks, adding the Arkansas City, Kansas-based aeroengine component specialist to its repair and overhaul portfolio. The deal expands Barnes Aerospace’s commercial aftermarket reach across the aeroengine lifecycle, with Jet AirWerks’ work centred on inspection, repair, overhaul and disassembly services for CFM56, CF6 and CF34 engine families.
Jet AirWerks was founded in 2007 and operates as an FAA Part 145 Repair Station with approvals from the FAA, EASA, CAAC and UK CAA. Its customer base spans domestic and international operators, while its technical footprint includes approved repairs and in-house processing capabilities.
Barnes Aerospace framed the transaction as a way to deepen its component repair and overhaul business by adding technical expertise, repair capacity and broader customer support. The acquisition is expected to strengthen its ability to deliver aftermarket services for commercial aerospace customers while maintaining continuity for existing Jet AirWerks operations.
