United Airlines has postponed the planned resumption of its Houston–Caracas service again, with the first bookable flight now showing on 12 January 2027. The nonstop route between Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport and Caracas Simón Bolívar International Airport remains scheduled as a daily operation on the Boeing 737 MAX 8, but the earlier restart window has been withdrawn from bookings.
The latest timetable change closes reservations for travel from 6 October 2026 through 11 January 2027, extending the delay beyond the carrier’s previous target. It is the second postponement of United’s return to Venezuela, after an earlier planned launch did not proceed. Recent seismic activity in Venezuela and operational disruption at Caracas have been cited in coverage surrounding the change.
The revised schedule leaves one of the few prospective nonstops between the United States and Venezuela still on hold, affecting business travellers, diaspora traffic and onward connections through United’s Houston hub.
