HAECO and CALC plan Hong Kong engine support platform

HAECO and China Aircraft Leasing Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop an engine lifecycle support platform in Hong Kong, with an initial focus on quick-turn engine services. The planned collaboration combines HAECO’s maintenance, repair and overhaul expertise with CALC’s aircraft asset management and commercial support as the two companies look to expand higher-value aviation services in the city.

The scope under discussion includes quick-turn work, hospital repair, engine asset management and improved use of used serviceable materials. The partnership is framed as part of efforts to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as an international aviation hub, while building regional support capability and supply-chain resilience.

No launch timetable, commercial scale or financial terms were disclosed.
