Aeroméxico plans to open nonstop service between Mexico City and Milan in March 2027, using Boeing 787 aircraft on a route linking Mexico City International Airport with Milan Malpensa. The proposed long-haul service remains subject to government approval, and frequencies and schedules have not yet been disclosed.
The Milan link would become Aeroméxico’s second destination in Italy after Rome and would extend the carrier’s European network to 10 destinations. The addition broadens its transatlantic schedule at a time when long-haul competition from Latin America remains focused on major business and leisure markets.
No fare details have been published. The launch timeline could still change if the regulatory process takes longer than expected, leaving the route as a planned expansion rather than a fully finalised one.
