XTI Aerospace names interim CEO and chair after leadership transition

XTI Aerospace has appointed Jeremy Schneiderman as interim chief executive and Jonathan Ornstein as interim chairman after Scott Pomeroy stepped down from those roles and as a director, effective 17 August. The move reshapes the leadership of the Dallas-based aerospace and drone company as it continues to focus on commercial, industrial and defence markets.

Schneiderman currently leads Drone Nerds, a subsidiary of XTI Aerospace, and the board plans to negotiate a definitive employment agreement for him to take the CEO role on a non-interim basis. Pomeroy’s departure comes amid a board-led governance review, while the company seeks a more streamlined management structure.

The transition places interim leadership at the top of a business whose drone strategy is central to its near-term commercial plans. Ornstein’s election as interim chairman gives the board additional continuity during the handover, while Schneiderman’s role links the group’s corporate leadership more closely with its operating subsidiary.
