Textron Aviation has delivered the 500th Cessna Citation CJ4 series business jet, with the milestone aircraft—a Citation CJ4 Gen2—going to a customer based in the Philippines. The delivery, disclosed on 17 August, comes as the Wichita manufacturer prepares the next stage of the light-jet line with the upcoming CJ4 Gen3.
The company positioned the handover as evidence of more than a decade of demand for its largest light jet and of the platform’s international reach. The CJ4 family has remained a core product in Textron Aviation’s business-jet portfolio, serving owner-operators and fleet customers across global markets.
Textron is also advancing the CJ4 Gen3 programme, which is intended to build on the current aircraft and extend the line into its next phase. The 500th delivery gives the manufacturer a timely commercial milestone as it continues development work across its next-generation light-jet range.
