Textron Aviation has delivered the 500th Cessna Citation CJ4 series business jet, marking a major milestone for the light jet family. The aircraft, a Citation CJ4 Gen2, went to a customer based in the Philippines as the company positioned the achievement alongside the next phase of the programme, the upcoming CJ4 Gen3.
The Wichita-based manufacturer framed the delivery as evidence of sustained demand for the CJ4 platform over more than a decade. The milestone also underlines the aircraft’s global reach, with the latest handover extending the series’ installed base in international markets.
The CJ4 remains Textron Aviation’s largest light jet and one of its long-running single-pilot business aircraft. The Gen3 variant is expected to build on the current platform, while the delivery of the 500th airframe provides a timely sales and branding boost for the Citation line.
