NOEMI Aerospace has signed non-binding agreements to explore electric seaplane opportunities in India and the Philippines, extending its Asia pipeline with plans centred on market feasibility, regulation and operations. The deals cover India’s state-owned Pawan Hans and Philippine operator Horizon Sun Charters, while the aircraft in development is a nine-passenger electric amphibious model designed for water and runway operations.
In India, the work is tied to potential regional connectivity use cases and the infrastructure needed to support seaplane services, with the memorandum in New Delhi focused on technical, financial and operational studies. In the Philippines, the separate agreement covers possible deployment of up to five aircraft, including options, and examines route integration for an archipelago market where short-haul water-linked transport could fit existing travel patterns.
Both arrangements remain exploratory rather than binding fleet commitments, with no launch date, route map or final investment decision disclosed. NOEMI is targeting service entry around 2030 for the aircraft programme, which remains in development.
