Air Charter Service organised a same-day solar-eclipse charter from London Stansted for customers heading to Valladolid, Spain, as the company targeted the best viewing conditions for the totality at sunset. The private charter-broker package formed part of a wider eclipse operation that also considered the Balearic Islands in Spain and Keflavik in Iceland, with the final routing set by weather close to departure.
The service was aimed at eclipse chasers seeking to maximise the chance of clear skies along the path of totality. Package pricing started at about £899 per seat, positioning the flight as a premium group-travel product rather than a standard scheduled service.
The operation reflected a broader burst of demand around the August eclipse, with ACS marketing a flexible return format that allowed passengers to travel to the most favourable location on the day. The arrangement included ground transfers to a designated viewing area, while the final destination depended on forecast conditions rather than a fixed route.
