Etihad to launch seasonal Gothenburg service from December

Etihad Airways will launch a seasonal route between Abu Dhabi and Gothenburg on 17 December, with four weekly flights operated by Airbus A321LR aircraft. The new service will connect Göteborg Landvetter Airport with Abu Dhabi and become the first direct link between Gothenburg and the United Arab Emirates.

Bookings opened on the day of the announcement, and the route is scheduled to run through 21 March 2027. Etihad will use a 160-seat A321LR configured with First, Business and Economy classes.

The airline is targeting traffic from western Sweden into its Abu Dhabi hub, where passengers can connect onward to destinations across India and Asia. The new route is positioned for both leisure and business demand, while also giving the Gothenburg market a direct long-haul option to the Middle East without a stopover.
