Alaska Airlines will expand its codeshare partnership with Korean Air from 13 August by adding its flight numbers to five routes beyond Seoul Incheon. The new sectors cover Bangkok, Busan, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore, giving Alaska-marketed itineraries deeper access into Southeast Asia through Korean Air’s network.
The update extends Alaska’s existing codeshare coverage between the US and Seoul by adding the onward leg of the journey from the Korean Air hub at Incheon. That will make more one-ticket connections bookable under Alaska’s code, including transpacific journeys such as Seattle-Singapore via Seoul, for cash fares.
The expansion fits Alaska’s broader post-Hawaiian Airlines strategy of using partner carriers to widen its reach without operating the extra long-haul sectors itself. Atmos Rewards points redemptions are not yet available for the new partner connections.
