A Fiat Panda service vehicle collided with a taxiing Hawker Beechcraft 400A private jet at Milan Linate Airport on Monday, briefly disrupting operations at the Italian hub. No injuries were reported after the aircraft, registered I-AERB, was struck while moving toward the runway, and the airport resumed normal activity after a short suspension.
The incident occurred at about 11:20 local time in the airport’s general aviation area. Emergency crews and firefighters reached the scene quickly to secure the area and inspect the aircraft for damage or fuel leaks. Reports indicate the jet’s nose section was damaged, while the passenger side of the service vehicle was heavily damaged.
Two arriving flights were diverted during the interruption, one to Bergamo’s Orio al Serio and another to Milan Malpensa. The driver of the Panda was checked by emergency personnel and appeared shaken. The cause remains under review, although video reportedly shows the vehicle did not brake before impact.
