Estonian Air Navigation Services has gone live with Digital NOTAM services powered by Frequentis’ CADAS suite, placing Estonia among the first air navigation service providers in Europe to move the function into operational use. The rollout gives EANS a common AIXM-based digital foundation for creating, managing and distributing aeronautical information in structured, machine-readable form.
The deployment is aimed at improving the speed, accuracy and consistency of NOTAM handling while strengthening safety and operational efficiency across aviation systems. It also aligns with the wider shift toward fully digital, interoperable aeronautical information management, with future integration into SWIM-based information exchange and trajectory-based operations among the longer-term objectives.
EANS described the commissioning as part of its digital transformation programme. Frequentis is distributing the release for the partnership, which focuses on replacing legacy text-based processes with digitally structured data that can be exchanged more effectively between systems and stakeholders.
