Jetstream Aviation Capital has delivered its first Saab 340B(F) freighter to Ryan Air, handing over aircraft serial 340B-329 in Anchorage, Alaska, on 4 August 2026. The turboprop will join the Alaska-based operator’s cargo fleet and support scheduled and charter freight services across Western Alaska, where air transport remains a vital logistics link for remote communities.
Ryan Air, owned by Saltchuk Aviation, already operates Cessna, CASA and Pilatus aircraft across a network spanning more than 80 destinations in Alaska. The addition of the Saab 340B(F) gives the carrier dedicated freighter capacity for cargo and supply movement to more than 80 communities in the region.
The aircraft is Ryan Air’s first Saab 340B(F), expanding a fleet built around smaller utility aircraft into a larger dedicated cargo platform. The delivery follows earlier reporting on the transaction and aligns on the aircraft type, serial number, handover date and intended operating role.
